To any who still watch this accursed thing,

Yes, I say accursed.. Xanga has been a warzone in my life. Which is why I've moved on to calmer shores. But I digress...

This will be my last post on Xanga, and I want it to have a purpose.

In this past couple years I've allowed fear, anger, and the manipulations of others tear from me the people that I care most for. I have since mastered my fear and learned to control my anger. The ones who have manipulated me have been removed from my "inner circle" of companions.

And so, I humbly apologize, and offer my hand in friendship to any who would take it.

I know that I have hurt some of you terribly, and I know that most of you will not be able to forgive me for that. However, if I can revive just one friendship then I will count myself blessed.

Do not feel that you must answer this call. Do so only if you desire a friendship with me. I will cherish the memories I have of you either way.

Freud divides the purpose of dreams into two groups: dreams based on present or past, and dreams based on the future.

The dreams of the past or present reveal inner workings of the subconscious, as well as emotional feelings, and current, minor changes in environment.

Dreams of the future can be symbolic, blatant prophecies, or a tangled mess. Their interpretation should be based on the dream type (which in itself can be difficult to determine).

Freud mentions in his book that the study of dream interpretation has no base to work from. No future 'pioneers' have anything but their own experience and views to work from, and must begin from square one.

The pioneers themselves are divided into two groups based on personal reasons for their pursuit of answers: one group that wants the scientific explanation, and one group which connects dreams with the supernatural (be it the occult or religiousness).

i have been formally accepted at rockhurst (as opposed to the informal 'we want you' i had earlier). sometime in the next week or so i'll be driving back down there to enroll in classes and set up my residence. i've made a friend of sorts with one of the faculty members there, and he's really hooking me up with some great opportunities.

i've already gotten my feet under me as far as downtown and the campus go. i know my way around, and have no problem finding what i need to find.

my benefactor and i have been talking about activities and resources on campus and in the area. i can't believe how much there is to do, and suprisingly enough, i'm interested! many colleges focus on sports, but it seems that rockhurst is far more my style. culture, art, and academics...

i'm going to have so much fun!

i got a call from rockhurst today. they wanted my permission to put me on the VIP list for the open house on the 24th. they were picking out specific students that they especially wanted to come see them and hopefully enroll with them.

they also reminded me of my scholarships and said i have a good chance of getting more for my GPA raising.

i was also told there are job opportunities there if i wanted to work for them too. they listed three they said they knew would be open, and then there was the work-study program where i could earn back the money paid for college.

speaking of money, college will cost a little less cause a few classes that i've taken here will be counted as completed over there too.. in other words more classes than i thought transfer over.

so, on the 24th we find out all the details about the enrollment and college process over there. apparently VIP's get first pick of classes and dorms.

i'm so friggin excited right now!

studies have found that children who watch tv are at high risk of developing ADD. for each hour per day that a child watches tv their chances increase by 10%... this would be because of low interaction with the environment.

be good parents in the future and don't make the mistake others have.
